One of the ‘powerful beyond measure’ capacities we have as women is that we are able to give life. We can “make breath” as Ani DiFranco says. I believe with this ability comes, whether we have children or not, an innate capacity to recognize the universal love and protectiveness that mothers of all species feel for their young. It is our imperative, our responsibility as women, above all other responsibilities, to set this right in the world, and to love and respect ourselves as mothers and ALL mothers no matter their religion, color, if they are furry, or feathered. Let’s look out for each other.  Mama’s Rule!
